Production Blog - Weather Issues

We were finally ready to begin filming. We had everything ready and our schedules matched up. We had everything prepared to start on it and work as much as possible. But unfortunately, we got a ton of rain. We had of course checked the weather in advance, but it was wrong. We had a near zero chance of rain yet were unable to film due to it. We though about just filming in the rain anyways. We didn't mind the rain personally anyways. But many of the scenes would end up better in a nicer weather. Such as the car scene. we have a car with a retractable roof. We were thinking of using that for a scene and in the rain, that wouldn't work very well. It also wouldn't be great for safety. We would need to drive in the rain, with a slippery road. Nobody felt very good about that either. The car and equipment we use could be damaged by the rain. Although all the possible incidents are unlikely, we would rather not take the risk. Since we would use the drone, it could be damaged or even lost due to the storm. All of these factored to our final decision. We would postpone our filming session for another day. We reorganized our schedule and had to make some sacrifices but we are ready for filming once again.
