Today I started with the editing. A while back we decided I would be the one to edit. We had a couple reasons for this. One of the major ones was I had the better equipment for it. Since I had a personal computer and the software, which was CapCut, to edit we decided I would use my computer to edit. We recorded the video on many different cameras. The biggest issue was getting all the footage together. We had to export it into our group chat and had to download it into my computer. We talked and they decided to come to my house to help edit. Benjamin was the late on this time. Apparently he was late due to traffic. We started before he showed up. The reason we did was that we wanted to do as much as possible that day. We did many transitions in the recording itself, so we had less things that needed to happen. We still didn't have transitions for many scenes though. There were many changes that we needed to make for the final product. We also cut some clips as in the final pieces t

Today we continued with the recording. Last day we spent the say with the park scenes. Today we went to Ben's house. we went as early as possible to get the most time possible. Although we wanted to start straight away, we had a problem. Nicolas was late to get there. We had to wait for a few minutes before doing anything. Once he got there, we didn't start right away. We procrastinated for a while. We played games and did silly things. Once we really began though, we really started up. We wanted to film the backyard parts first. We needed an umbrella and hose again for props. Once we had those we were able to begin acting. I mostly acted in the scenes, but there were a couple where we had to set up the camera. We had to set it up as the scene required us all in it. We then moved over to the basketball court. We took Benjamins golf cart there, and it would also be needed for a later scene. We recorded for a long time. Once we finished, we just fooled around for a while after th

This past weekend we started planning on when we would film. We were able to accomplish our goal of filming together. Since it was the first day of filming we went to the furthest destination first. We went to the park closest to all of us. We had to first pay for the entry into the park. We then needed to find parking for the park in a place we could film. Once we had found the perfect place we started setting up. We put up the camera and started filming. We had a strong idea of what we would do, but making it a reality was harder than we thought. The first scene we got an establishing shot that would show the park and all of us. Showing the park helped start the story off in a good place. We then started filming the rest of the park scenes. We then needed to make "rain" for the next scene. The rain was just a hose spewing water. It was sort of hard to set up but we were able to achieve our desired effect. In the third scene I was not in it but soon join. In the fourth scene

This week me and my friends wanted to start recording. We started planning but realized we had some massive set backs. One of these set backs was that all of us were traveling during the weekend. I am going to Houston which is a first for me. I have many plans and it will be lots of fun. But going and having fun has its downsides. This made it impossible for us to get even a second in of recording. We had to come up for a solution if we were going to record anytime soon. Since I was going to Houston, I asked were they were going to see if there was any way to meet up. It turned out they were going to completely different places. We had to come up with a different solution. We say that this Tuesday was off from school so we decided to talk to our parent. When we asked, we found out we would all be back in town in time. We started talking about who could take us and scheduling. We decided to do it earlier in the day so we have a long time to do what we need to do. We may have to may thin

Today me and my group started deciding on each of our roles within our group. What I wanted to do was the editing part of the video. I asked the other members and we each agreed on our individual roles. My main role would be the editing. I would also play some parts in the filming process. My part in the film will most likely be as an actor for a couple of the scenes. otherwise, I am going to mostly focus on the editing and music creation of these videos. One major part of the editing process I needed to decide was the software I would use to edit. On the last video I made I used CapCut. CapCut was simple and efficient, more than any other software I tried. I thought about using a different software to expand my knowledge but started to really thing about it. I discussed it with my group members and we agreed that CapCut would be most effective for our video as the importing and exporting was so simple last time we used it. Once I selected the software, I began compiling some resources

Establishing shot of the basketball court while its raining. Everyone standing in different places, not talking. Benjamin pulls out an umbrella and goes out in the rain. Cut to Uber app on his phone.  Nicolas walks over to Benjamin while he's holding the umbrella and starts talking. Tom walks over to the other two and starts talking to them. Benjamin's Uber pulls up and he asks his friends if they wanna go with him. They agree and once everyone is in the car they drive off. The car pulls up to a house and everyone gets out. Tom and Nicolas follow Benjamin inside the house. The group sits down on a couch and starts playing games. Cut to a SpongeBob type scene that says "2 hours later". Tom decides to get up and check the weather outside. It is sunny outside. A montage of the group walking around the city. The three new friends approach the basketball court together smiling in the sunlight. The final scene is the basketball flying into the basket

Planning For My Music Video

Image
We started by trying to decide on our song for our music video. We wanted something strong and with meaning. We also felt it should be able to be molded into something we were proud of. we looked around for a while and decided on the song. We chose Umbrella by Beyoncé. We felt it would be a good match for us and our vision. For the video we only need a couple of simple props. We are going to use an umbrella and a hose. We will use the umbrella to shield us from the water we are using from the hose to simulate rain. For costumes we will be wearing casual clothing which we feel is not too important to get wet. We will try to do it when it is raining or cloudy. If we can't do that, then we will do it later in the day when the sun is not as high up so that it fits the environment for the video we have for the video. We are planning on doing it at one of our backyards as the grass and trees will help sell the fact that we are in the rain like how we want. Our backup plan is to go to a p

I started looking for a group by asking people in my class. When I ask, said they mostly already had a group or knew who they were going to do it with. I then had to move to friends in other classes. I sent a message in our group chat, but most of them already had a group or weren't in the class. I found two people willing to let me into their group. Those two friends were Benjamin Adelson and Nicolas Williams. They were already in a group together. Eventually I was able to convince them to let me join as well. They were also both people I knew very well and knew we would make a great group. Our parent had already met multiple times so it would be easy to arrange a day we could meet up for the project. We also had classes together and saw each other everyday, meaning it would be easy to work on it. we are great friends too. Us working together would flow well. We are all good workers and are able to complete our task. One way or another we finish what we are assigned, which feels l

Hello, my name is Tom, and I'm 15 years old. I turn 16 in June and am a Gemini, although I don't really get what that means. I have two pets, a dog and a cat, their names are Oreo and Messi respectively. I love walking my dog around the  n eigh borhood and cuddling with my cat on my bed.  My favorite things to do are play video games with friends or go do things outside with them, such as going to the mall o r going to one of their houses to take a sleep over. Other things I enjoy doing include cooking an then eating said food, swimming in pools, but not beaches, and going out to eat. I love my Mom and Dad and they both care for me a lot. I got my cat when I was very young during a soccer world cup where Argentina, my family's home country, was playing. I got my dog by adoption here in Florida. Although I was born in Florida, all my family except my parents live in Argentina and they where born there as well. I have 5 cousins who I see relatively regularly, as I only go vi
