Reflection

This project was great and very fun. It was truly a learning experience for me. One thing I learned how to do was something technical. That thing was learning how to upload to YouTube. The way you do it was slightly complicated. I had to first make it on my phone, which was not a new experience in of itself. Then I needed to send it to my computer. I used email for this and just sent it to myself. I then downloaded it on my computer. Once I did, I opened my YouTube and clicked the upload button. I had to find the video in my files and select it. once I did, I just had to wait for it to fully upload to YouTube. Once it did I had to choose a thumbnail, make it public, and click finish. That was the entirety of making a YouTube video, and I feel like I could now do it again whenever I want to. Putting the project together proved to not be very difficult. It was just the process of finding all the components and then inserting them into my editing software. Once I did this the hardest par

Today I started off with the production of the video itself. I began by gathering the songs I was going to use. I had to download them but I didn't know how. I had to search up how to do it first. I found a website which could turn YouTube videos into mp3 files. I then used it to download the two main songs I would use. I saved them to my computer. I then opened CapCut and tried to insert them. It didn't work the first couple of times though. I had to search up a tutorial for CapCut. I was then able to figure it out. I inserted the music. I then went along to downloading the images which I would be using. I had to download them to computer through messages which gave me a bit of trouble. I was able to figure it out eventually and saved them to my computer. I then did the same with the videos. I had to wait a while as the files were relatively large. I then began inserting the images and videos into the video. I went adding them as I saw fit but it was difficult to find a way t

Today I started looking for better pictures and videos. I first began going through my camera roll. I found a picture I was interested in using. I knew just one wouldn't be enough though. I had to ask my parents if they had any good images of me from when I was younger or even more recently. They said they had most photos downloaded on the computer. I would have to wait on them to get the computer up. I waited and waited but they kept putting it off. I had to put things in my own hands. I asked where the computer was and found it. I had to ask what the password was but they forgot. I had to reset the password altogether to log in. When I finally had logged in, I had to find the folder with all the pictures of past vacations and such. When I did, I opened it and found many pics of when I was younger and picked out a select few to choose from for my project. I chose two more main images and called it a day for pictures. I then had to find the videos I would use. I went through the s

I began today by thinking about what I needed to do. I wanted to start looking for the final song or two for the video. I decided on two just incase my video was slightly longer than I believed. It might be longer than just one song in length and might need need two. I started looking but realized I didn't like the feeling of most. I wanted one that would fit well and also was not copywritten. I was mostly looking on YouTube. I though it would be easiest on YouTube. One song I quickly chose was "In Dreamland" by Chillpeach. I was already looking at it before and I got more decided on it now. Another song I chose soon after was "Gift". It was made by Massobeats and was also a no copywrite song. These songs would really elevate the video. They would give it a better feeling. They could also make it more entertaining to watch. Songs always make things more interesting by giving background noise. Not having music makes It feel hollow. I was glad to find two non-cop

I started off by selecting what app I was using for my commercial. I was having difficulty deciding between the main ones. I narrowed it down to a couple. I decided soon after that CapCut would be most efficient. The simplicity of it would greatly help. I had an issue of not having enough storage to download it though. I had to make extra space on my computer to be able to download. I had to delete some games and apps I had installed. Getting through all this meant I could begin to start editing when I was ready. Although I wanted to get started, I could not yet. I had not perfectly cemented in my mind how things were going to look. I decided most of what I gathered before was not great. I began mostly anew. I kept only somethings from before. I wanted to start looking for things again, but hit a huge roadblock. There was a thunder storm which went my internet go out for a while. I didn't want to a halt. I began doing things that didn't require internet. One such thing was loo

Research and Planning Blog

I started with my planning and research by looking for photos. I was starting by looking through my own camera roll on my phone. I soon realized I didn't have any pictures which really relate to me in a meaningful way. I asked my parents to look through their camera rolls as they take a lot more pictures than I do. I found some good pictures to put in the commercial which really show who I am. I found some with my pets, with friends, and with family. These pictures will truly show how I am in life around the people I love. I then tried to find videos of me and friends and family. I only found one on my phone. I once again had to go to my parents to try to find videos that would show me. I found one of me from when I was younger and one from more recently. These videos will help show how I have grown over the years as a person. I then had to try to find the songs that would play in the background of  my video. The song I ended up choosing was the song 'In Dreamland' by Chill

Hello, my name is Tom, and I'm 15 years old. I turn 16 in June and am a Gemini, although I don't really get what that means. I have two pets, a dog and a cat, their names are Oreo and Messi respectively. I love walking my dog around the  n eigh borhood and cuddling with my cat on my bed.  My favorite things to do are play video games with friends or go do things outside with them, such as going to the mall o r going to one of their houses to take a sleep over. Other things I enjoy doing include cooking an then eating said food, swimming in pools, but not beaches, and going out to eat. I love my Mom and Dad and they both care for me a lot. I got my cat when I was very young during a soccer world cup where Argentina, my family's home country, was playing. I got my dog by adoption here in Florida. Although I was born in Florida, all my family except my parents live in Argentina and they where born there as well. I have 5 cousins who I see relatively regularly, as I only go v
