Research and Planning Blog

I started with my planning and research by looking for photos. I was starting by looking through my own camera roll on my phone. I soon realized I didn't have any pictures which really relate to me in a meaningful way. I asked my parents to look through their camera rolls as they take a lot more pictures than I do. I found some good pictures to put in the commercial which really show who I am. I found some with my pets, with friends, and with family. These pictures will truly show how I am in life around the people I love. I then tried to find videos of me and friends and family. I only found one on my phone. I once again had to go to my parents to try to find videos that would show me. I found one of me from when I was younger and one from more recently. These videos will help show how I have grown over the years as a person. I then had to try to find the songs that would play in the background of  my video. The song I ended up choosing was the song 'In Dreamland' by Chillpeach on YouTube. I selected it because of multiple reasons. One reason was that it was non-copy written so it was more simple to use it. another was because I really liked the sound of it with the videos vibe and feeling to it. These video and pictures I feel show what kind of person I am. The music also adds to the video as well. Using all these things I will able to find will help enhance the viewers experience with the video. My parents were a big help in finding the pictures as well as videos for it. I was also able to find some things like the song and a video or two. These will truly help with all my the production efforts in my commercial.

  I started looking for a group by asking people in my class. When I ask, said they mostly already had a group or knew who they were going to do it with. I then had to move to friends in other classes. I sent a message in our group chat, but most of them already had a group or weren't in the class. I found two people willing to let me into their group. Those three friends were Benjamin Adelson, Nicolas Williams, and Blake Dash. They were already in a group together. Eventually I was able to convince them to let me join as well. They were also both people I knew very well and knew we would make a great group. Our parent had already met multiple times so it would be easy to arrange a day we could meet up for the project. Production Blog

 Today I started off with the production of the video itself. I began by gathering the songs I was going to use. I had to download them but I didn't know how. I had to search up how to do it first. I found a website which could turn YouTube videos into mp3 files. I then used it to download the two main songs I would use. I saved them to my computer. I then opened CapCut and tried to insert them. It didn't work the first couple of times though. I had to search up a tutorial for CapCut. I was then able to figure it out. I inserted the music. I then went along to downloading the images which I would be using. I had to download them to computer through messages which gave me a bit of trouble. I was able to figure it out eventually and saved them to my computer. I then did the same with the videos. I had to wait a while as the files were relatively large. Planning For My Music Video

We started by trying to decide on our song for our music video. We wanted something strong and with meaning. We also felt it should be able to be molded into something we were proud of. we looked around for a while and decided on the song. We chose Umbrella by Beyoncé. We felt it would be a good match for us and our vision. For the video we only need a couple of simple props. We are going to use an umbrella and a hose. We will use the umbrella to shield us from the water we are using from the hose to simulate rain. For costumes we will be wearing casual clothing which we feel is not too important to get wet. We will try to do it when it is raining or cloudy. If we can't do that, then we will do it later in the day when the sun is not as high up so that it fits the environment for the video we have for the video.
